Claim: If a category is semi-strongly connected and is thin, then it has binary products.

Proof: Let A,BA,B be two objects. Since the category is semi-strongly connected, we may assume without loss of generality that there is a morphism f:A→Bf : A \to B. We claim that AA together with idA:A→A\id_A : A \to A and f:A→Bf : A \to B is a product of AA and BB. Indeed, if TT is an object with morphisms g:T→Ag : T \to A and h:T→Bh : T \to B, then g:T→Ag : T \to A satisfies idA∘g=g\id_A \circ g = g and f∘g=hf \circ g = h, the latter since the category is thin. Uniqueness is also clear since the category is thin.
